Skin Rejuvenation & Resurfacing & Medical Aesthetics (Face)Medical Microneedling (Dermapen)

Medical Microneedling (Dermapen)

Dr Martyn King | Cosmedic Skin Clinic | Staffordshire

Medical microneedling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that stimulates the body's natural healing response to improve skin texture, firmness, and overall skin quality. At Cosmedic Skin Clinic, we use the Dermapen device, an advanced medical microneedling system that creates thousands of controlled micro-channels within the skin.

These microscopic injuries trigger the production of collagen and elastin, helping to improve a variety of skin concerns including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, pigmentation irregularities, and skin laxity.

Dermapen treatments are suitable for most skin types and can be performed on the face and body to promote healthier, smoother, and more youthful-looking skin.

How it works

Dermapen uses multiple sterile, ultra-fine needles that move vertically within the skin to create thousands of controlled micro-injuries.

These microscopic channels stimulate the skin's natural wound-healing response, resulting in:

  • Increased collagen production
  • Increased elastin production
  • Improved skin regeneration
  • Enhanced skin firmness
  • Improved product penetration
  • Reduction in scar tissue irregularities

Treatment depth is tailored to the specific skin concern being treated and the area of the body.

Following treatment, the skin begins a natural repair process which continues for several weeks, gradually improving texture, tone, and overall skin quality.
